Tuna catcher and processor Sapmer has opened its second shop on the island of Reunion, in the town of St Gilles.
The organic store is the result of Sapmer’s combination with brand Votre Potager, managed by Nadia Souprayenmestry. It opened Feb. 9.
“Similar to the store situated in Le Port, the new ‘Comptoir Sapmer’ offers a wide range of products caught in the southern seas, including toothfish, lobsters, ‘Saint-Paul’ — also known as grenadier, as well as Indian Ocean tuna and skipjack.”
Both brands plan to jointly organize culinary events around the products offered for the gourmets in the area, Sapmer said.
“Our first Comptoir store has been very successful since it opened in Le Port in March 2017. Sales are on the rise and there are more and more requests from customers,” said Pascal Parisse, manager of the Le Port ‘Comptoir’.
